ASUS U4100U Notebook display is 14 inch

Reasons to Buy ASUS U4100U Notebook (Pros and Advantages):

1. The screen happens to be a 14 inch full HD IPS panel. So technically it has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels which gives the display a pixel density of 155 ppi (pixels per inch). Aspect ratio of the screen is 16:9 which is pretty standard. Colors do pop very well, it is bright enough to view in harsh light conditions and the contrast levels are also good. Overall there is no any problem with the display.

2. A very powerful 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5-7200U is the processor. It has the Intel Turbo Boost Technology which delivers dynamic extra power upon requirement. Its a dual-core chipset which has a caching memory of 3 MB. The maximum power the CPU requires is only 15 watt. Even under extreme processing the ASUS U4100U Notebook does not have any sort of heating issues.

4 GB RAM with one extra slot

3. Apart from the 4 GB DDR4 RAM it has one extra slot, for in case if you need more primary for multitasking. As per the compatibility it can take one more 4 GB, so overall you will have 8 GB RAM.

4. The secondary memory is not a HDD (hard disk drive) but an SSD (solid state drive) one. The later is extremely faster than the former. Out of the box it comes with 256 GB of SSD memory. However you cannot expand the internal memory, but that being said it does comes with a memory card slot which can read a maximum storage area of 128 GB. So do the math, you will have 384 GB of memory.

ASUS U4100U Laptop has 2 GB graphics card

5. Being expensive means you will expect to have a dedicated graphics card rather than Intel Integrated Graphics and at least 1 GB. Well it comes with 2 GB Graphics from NVIDIA which is the latest version of GeForce 940MX. It is the refreshed version of 940M. Now it supports faster GDDR5. With GFXBench 3.0 benchmarks it earned a score of 83.7 fps (frames per second). You won’t face any problems at moderate configuration gaming. While gaming at the highest configuration levels will result some drop in frames but that will happen with any laptop that has this GPU. It is primarily a mid-level GPU.

6. The ASUS U4100U Laptop comes pre-installed with Windows 10. It is the Home version, and no you won’t require license key as it is a full version without any limitation. However Microsoft Office is not present.

USB and HDMI ports

7. Connectivity ports include one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 which are placed on different sides.

8. On the left side it also has a HDMI port for projecting it to a larger screen like TV, projector or monitor. However do keep in mind that the HDMI port is a micro one which is inevitable for the slim design of the laptop.

ASUS U4100U laptop has Intel i5 CPU

9. Apart from the two regular size USB ports it comes with a USB Type-C reversible connector.

10. It does not have the RJ45 LAN port but Asus has supplied a USB 3.0 to RJ45 adapter inside the box. LAN port is very big, so there is no way to fit into the laptop.

ASUS U4100U laptop with fingerprint sensor

11. The overall weight of the laptop is only 1258 grams which is even lighter than my Macbook Air which weights no less than 1300 grams. It has been able to pull of the weight primarily due to the SSD memory rather than hard disk.

12. And the last ASUS U4100U Notebook pros is for the fingerprint reader on the right top of the track-pad. The fingerprint scanner is not as fast as a smartphone but definitely does the job when considered in a laptop.

5000 mAh battery capcity

Reasons Not to Buy ASUS U4100U Notebook (Cons, Demerits, Downsides, Disadvantages, Issues and Problems):

1. For a laptop with such a high end specs the 5000 mAh battery seems to be not going along with the price. Under intensive usage like you will get a back of 2.5 hours max. However normal usage will get it to more than 5 hours. So it depends on the user.

2. Another ASUS U4100U laptop cons is that it is not available outside China. In case if you are thinking to import than I recommend you to follow this link where it is sold at the lowest price.

My Verdict: Apart from the battery capacity and price everything is fantastic. However if in case you are looking to get it at a very low price then follow the link below.
